Watermain leak - corner of Ellis St. and Sandy's Lane

Message from Public Works:

The public works will be repairing a water main leak on the corner of Ellis Street and Sandy’s Lane starting tomorrow October 18^th starting at 8:00 AM.

Traffic signs will be in place, Ellis Street and Sandys Lane will have traffic restrictions until the leak has been repaired. Traffic signs will be in place please use caution in the area to allow the team to complete the leak.

Areas that will be affected are as follows:

Main street (from duke street to water street)

Ellis Street

Sandys Lane

Prince William Street

Waverly Street

James street

And surrounding areas.

Little River Road Water and Sewer Construction

The Oxford Community Centre will be installing water and sewer services on Little River Road tomorrow, October 16, 2024, starting at 7:00 AM.

Traffic signs will be in place.

Please use caution when driving through the area.

Please note that we are unsure of a timeline for this construction. A separate construction company will be doing the work and not Oxford Public Works.

As of October 10, 2024 the Designated Route is now open for use by Off Highway Vehicles to connect everyone to various services in Oxford.

Town Hall office closed 11:30AM - 1:00 PM - Voter help OPEN

To all residents:

Please note that the Town Hall office is closed today, Friday October 11, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM for staff training.

Voter Help is still OPEN via the Council Chamber door (blue door) at the front of the building just off the sidewalk.

Road Trails Designation Bylaw 05-2024-2

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Road Trails Designation Bylaw 05-2024-2 was approved by Council on June 27, 2024, and is in effect as of the date of this publication (October 10, 2024).

 The purpose of this bylaw is to enable the operation of off-highway vehicles on designated parts of highways to allow for trail and amenity connectivity.

 Copies of the Road Trails Designation Bylaw may be inspected at the Town Hall, 105 Lower Main Street, during regular business hours. The Bylaw can also be viewed on the Town’s website at www.oxfordns.ca.
