Transfer Station News and Summer Hours Announcement

Transfer Station, News and Summer Hours Announcement

Due to last week’s unforeseen circumstances that were beyond our control, our service provider Fero, has reported to us that they have had truck and driver issues which delayed them in the weekly pickup of the recycling and garbage products from our Transfer Station.

Fero has verified that:

Organics/Compost has been picked up as of Monday April 10, 2023.
The roll-off furniture bin and recyclables as been picked up as of Wednesday April 12, 2023.
Lids on the recycling bins are being replaced and will be completed by the end of next week. That means when the bins get to a certain full level, the lids will have to be closed and secured until the next pickup occurs.
Garbage has been cleaned up by opening on Thursday April 13, 2023.

We apologize for any inconvenience.  We value the sorting that we do in Oxford and do not wish to discount that. The disposing of compost material in the compactor was something we did not want to do but under the circumstances we were left with little option. Please continue to refer to the CJSMA Sorting Guide for household garbage

Thank you all for doing your part to ensure proper sorting and extend the life of recyclable products and keeping these articles out of our landfills.
