Flooding concerns close Water Street at 2:45 PM Feb 29/24

The Town of Oxford Public Works Department is actively monitoring the water levels. If you see any additional localized flooding please call 902-397-3002. We are monitoring the ballfield, Lower Main Street, and Little River Road currently. Meadow Lane is currently the only closed road to local traffic. Please continue to monitor this post for additional information and updates on possible additional closures.
**UPDATE** - At 2:45 PM Water Street will be closed from the intersection of Waverly and Water Street to the intersection of Pleasant Street and Water Street due to the flooding.

Water repair corner of Stanley St and Thompson Rd. Feb 27/24

Update: The leak has been located and repairs are underway. Estimate 2:00 PM for services to be restored.

The Oxford Public Works Team will be repairing a water main leak on the corner of Stanley Street and Thompson Road starting at 8:00 AM tomorrow, February 27, 2024.
The following streets should expect water service interruptions.

New Flashing Red Stop Signs Coming to Oxford Water & Main!

Exciting News!
January 23, 2024, marks the start of the installation of solar red flashing stop signs at the main intersection of Oxford, Main, and Water Street.
This upgrade will help make this corner more visible, and safer for our residence and crossing guard, and help to make it more accessible. It will also help increase the enforceability of this intersection to ensure everyone stops at the stop signs.
