All water should be back on now. If for any reason, you do not have water service or your pressure is low, please contact us at the Town Office 902-447-2170.
9:30 am - Feb 25 - Water Break Update
The Public Works Department has the water turned off at the site. As they are working, just a reminder to motorists and pedestrians to be careful. If you can avoid driving to Pugwash Road, we recommend doing that to keep our staff and citizens safe.

Notice to Businesses / Residents close to Pugwash Road in Oxford, NS
The Public Works Department will be working on a water break on Pugwash Road beginning around 8:30 am on Friday, February 25. This will cause water interruptions on Pugwash Road and those streets close to that area. As the event happens we will update this post.
The Town apologizes for this inconvenience and will have this fixed as soon as it is possible.

Public Works has reached the water pipe and the water is turned off.

Public Works have not turned off the water as of yet. Be prepared for the water interruption to happen soon.
For those businesses and residents on the South Side of Oxford, you may notice that your water pressure is low. It will remain low until they can fix that tomorrow morning. Public Works have planned to fix a Water Break on Pugwash Road beginning at 8:30 am.

Water Interruptions will begin soon, at approximately 9 am.
There is an unexpected water break that needs to be fixed promptly.
For now, we are unsure how long the water interruption will be, but as the Public Works Department progresses, we will update this post.

The Town of Oxford is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill the position of Office Assistant. Newly approved in the organizational chart, this is a permanent, full-time, non-unionized position. This position will report directly to the Town Clerk and the Senior Accountant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for bank reconciliations, payroll administration, processing interest and billings (tax and water), posting, online payments, HST returns, recording minutes, filing, and researching municipal information as needed.
