Message from Public Works:
Public Works will be repairing a small water leak between civic addresses 5208 Main Street and 5216 Main Street. Work will tentatively take place on Wednesday, September 03, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
Traffic control will be on-site, Nova Scotia Power will also be on-site. We have a few parking restrictions and sidewalk closures that will be in place during this time:
All the parking places between 5208 Main Street and 5220 Main Street will be closed during this time and the sidewalk will also be closed in this area.
We are going to try and repair the leak without shutting the water off, but if water services need to be shut off, the following list should expect water service interruptions:
Main Street from Hanlon Street to Water Street
Water Street
James Street
Waverly Street
Prince William Street
Ellis Street
Sandy’s Lane
Jackson Street
Rideau Street
And surrounding areas
Businesses in these areas should also expect water service interruptions
Hydrants in the downtown core will also be out of service until repairs are made.
