Oxford Arena awarded $92,733 from Rink Revitalization Program

The Town of Oxford and the Oxford Arena Association are pleased to announce that our arena has been selected as a recipient of the Rink Revitalization Program, hosted by the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage, in the amount of $92,733. The Project will help us to create an efficient, multi-use facility that will provide an inclusive space that our community will enjoy for years to come.

The projects supported by this funding include:

  • Expansion and enhancement of the warm room to create a Community Room
  • Zamboni room and water heater room upgrades
  • Engine room equipment replacement and structural repair
  • Building repairs and replacements (roof, doors, windows)
  • Efficiency Project with the Arena Lovers and Building Automation System (BAS)

The project progress will be posted on the Town of Oxford and the Oxford Arena Facebook pages. The Town of Oxford and the Oxford Arena Association would like to thank everyone that volunteered and continues to volunteer with this important community project. The success of this project demonstrates that with community involvement we can achieve positive results.
