Notice from Public Works: EMERGENCY WATERMAIN REPAIR - Waverly Street June 7, 2025

Update 11:00 PM - **Water is now being turned back on

Update at 6:50 PM - Public Works has found the leak. However, the leak is much worse than anticipated. While the crew is continuing to work on the problem, water services may be out for an extended period until a solution to repair the break can be found.

Public works will be repairing a water main leak on Waverly Street starting around noon today June 07, 2025.

This is a major leak and will require multiple service interruptions throughout the town.

Street Closure

There will also be a street closure from Ellis and Waverly Street to Prince William and Waverly Street Intersection.

Areas that will be affected are as follows.

• Waverly St.
• Ellis St.
• Prince William St.
• Duke St.
• Main St. from Hanlon to Water St.
• Water Street to Waverly St.
• James St.
• Jackson St. and surrounding areas

This will be also affecting a lot of our businesses and fire hydrants in town.

Please use caution in the area. The estimated time for repairs is unknown at this time.
