Oxford Santa Claus Parade: A Disney Christmas

Thanks again for agreeing to be a part of Oxford’s Santa Claus Parade: A Disney Christmas - we are so grateful!

The parade is this Friday, November 28th and will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. We anticipate that it will take approximately 30 min to complete the parade route.

The Parade Route is Main Street (from roughly the Department of Natural Resources), all the way to Water Street, then Water Street to Waverly Street and Waverly to the Arena, at which point you are free to go your own way.

Meet-up times and locations are as follows:

Walkers (Costumed and Banner Holders)

Please meet in front of the Scotiabank no later than 6:15 PM.

If you have a car to park, please park it in the first Oxford Frozen Foods Plant parking lot coming into Oxford.

Firetrucks

Please arrive between 5:45 PM and 6:15 PM.

Park in the Scotiabank parking lot.

Floats

Please arrive between 5:45 PM and 6:15 PM.

You will be directed to park in either the Department of Natural Resources or the Oxford Frozen Foods Plant parking lot when you arrive.

IMPORTANT: If you have any animals as part of your float (i.e. horses), you must park in the Department of Natural Resources as animals cannot be on the Oxford Frozen Foods Plant property.

I know you all have a copy of the guidelines, but in light of incidents in other communities, just a reminder that for safety considerations, no one participating in the parade is allowed to hand out anything at anytime. Please refer to the guidelines for other expectations.
