Changes are coming to recycling in Nova Scotia!
New provincial rules will soon shift recycling responsibility from municipalities to the companies that make and sell packaging and paper.
Starting on December 1, 2025 the Town of Amherst, Municipality of Cumberland, and Town of Oxford are partnering with Circular Materials, a not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Nova Scotia.
Residents will continue to receive the same reliable services - with the added benefit of being able to recycle even more materials!
