The Town has a vacancy in the Public Works Department for a 6-month term position (that may be extended) of General Labourer.

The position reports directly to the Public Works Supervisor and is responsible to perform duties related to the operation and maintenance of the Town’s water utility, wastewater, infrastructure, general operations, and winter maintenance. Experience as an operator as well as within the municipal government environment is preferred but not necessary.

The successful candidate should have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalency, valid class 5 drivers’ license, be physically able to do manual labour as required, and work well within a team environment. The Town of Oxford is subject to all Provincial and Municipal Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations. The wages are $20.29 / hour.
